Recent discussions with industry suppliers indicates that the worst of the recession is over. The last month has seen a steady rise in volumes as confidence returns. Those supplying finishing technology (always a key activity indicator) have had an influx of orders, after almost 6 months of minimal sales.

Only time will tell if this is just a catchup or long term trend. Certainly much of the finishing equipment being sold is around the digital print arena, confirming the trend to shorter runs as customers budgets are still tight, but obviously easing...
